Summerlicious Session: Interview with Sam and Mikayla from The Medic of Brighton Creek with Adaline Raine

Hi guys! I've got with me Sam and Mikayla with me today from The Medic of Brighton Creek by Adaline Raine and they kinda take control of the interview. Enjoy!

Sam and Mikayla walk in and sit down. She sits next to him and takes his hand.

Mikayla: Thank you for having us over today! I'm really excited about your questions.

So, I don't suffer from sleepwalking. Lately I haven't done much sleeping! **winks**

Sam: **shakes his head** It's going to be one of those Q&A sessions. I'll pick the one on everyone's mind. To answer your boxers or briefs question? Briefs.

Mikayla: **giggles** That does go with the sleeping question... **Sam shoots her a look and she goes serious again**

Sorry, Summer. My favorite color socks are purple but they have to be mismatched. I mean, really, people who take the time to make sure the white socks have the exact same lines in them are boring. **shoots Sam a look of her own**

Sam: My biggest achievement other than putting up with Mickie was obtaining my paramedic license. It was a lot of work but after I got trained to be a medic overseas while in the Army I knew it was my calling.

Mikayla: He is really good at that. I was super lucky to knock on his door when my car crashed. So moving on. As a child I would say I was nice. **Sam coughs loudly**

Okay, well, I was a little naughty. **Sam coughs again** Oh for crying out loud! I was naughty as a child, but aren't we all?

Sam: The only trait I deplore in others is dishonesty. I can say for the most part I do not lie, unless I feel there is no way to tell someone the truth about a situation. I try not to put myself in spots where I, myself would have to bend the truth.

Mikayla: **nods to agree with Sam** I do occasionally lie but it's usually because I'm not quite ready to tell the truth. I would never lie to purposefully hurt someone. These were really great questions.

Sam: **squeezes Mikayla's hand** Thanks again for having us. Today we're sharing a snippet about-

Mikayla: **interrupting** Oh! Can we share the one at the wedding?

Sam: I'm not telling them all about our romp in the's not any of their business.

Mikayla: **whispering** If they read the book they'll find out in detail.

Sam: **sighs** Fine. My ex-wife dumps a glass of wine on Mickie and I brought her into the bridal party lounge to get her out of her dress.

Mikayla: **giggles** He means because I was wet!

Sam: I meant because the dress would get ruined. Anyway, please enjoy it along with the rest of the book. We really appreciate your time.

Sam dropped the last wet towel into the trash and sighed. “When Bonnie sent out her wedding announcements, she made a point of telling me you agreed to be her maid of honor. Since then, all I’ve been thinking about is how to get your attention.”

“Oh,” Mikayla mumbled. “You have it.” She scooted off the counter, then shrugged off his jacket. “I’m well aware.”

He smiled and held out his hand, causing a flutter to run through her belly. “Take off your dress.”

“In here? Now?”

“Sweetheart, I can only guess what you’re thinking, but I’d like to use the blow dryer on that spot.” He laughed as she scrunched up her nose and blew a raspberry at him.

“You totally knew how I would take it! Err… it’s got buttons so you’ll have to get me out of it.” She spun around quickly to avoid letting him see her blush, but she had forgotten the large mirror behind her which she now faced.

“I’m happy to.” Sam grasped the first button, then continued down her back until he reached the last one. She smiled as his gaze caught hers, then gasped when he tugged the zipper down, causing the silky fabric to pool around her feet. She wore a matching bra and panties set, crotchless on a whim, plus a garter belt and hose, splurged on from her bonus at work. Mikayla hadn’t expected to show him what she was wearing this early in the night, but she decided he appreciated the picture as his sudden erection pressed against her. He fumbled to get the dress into his hands without taking his eyes off the getup.
Returning to her hometown for her best friend’s wedding, Mikayla Turner doesn’t expect to run into her teenage crush, handsome paramedic Sam Brighton, within a matter of moments. But after her car runs off the road in a snowstorm, she seeks help at the nearest house and is shocked when it is Sam who answers the door—still as sexy as she remembers him.

Sam patches her up and lets her stay at his home until the weather improves, but he makes it clear that there will be consequences should she choose to disobey him during her stay. Mikayla has grown up in the years she’s been away, but she still finds herself craving Sam’s dominance, and she is unable to resist putting his warning to the test. After Sam takes her in hand and bares her bottom for a sound spanking, Mikayla has never felt closer to him, and though it leaves her blushing, his thorough, intimate medical care makes her feel safer and more loved than she’s ever felt before.

When the local doctor takes some time off, Sam steps in to help out and he asks Mikayla to stay and serve as his receptionist. She agrees, but she can’t help worrying that Sam’s attraction to her is short-lived and that one day he will tire of her and push her away. Will self-doubt drive Mikayla to leave Sam and her hometown forever, or can she face her fears and learn to trust the man she loves?

My Review:

This was an amazing story! I loved how you had them friends since childhood and then the sexual tension as adults. Those are always fun stories. I liked how you had several secondary characters that helped improve the book and you had perfect details about all of them. I could see myself being friends with the girls and probably causing just as much trouble. The ending was beautiful and made me cry. This was a beautiful sexy story!
